Day 1. Ulaanbaatar
Upon arrival at the Chinggis Khan international airport in Mongolia, you will meet Visit Mongolia crew and transfer to the 4*hotel, conveniently located downtown
Ulaanbaatar. After freshening up from your flight, we start our first day around Ulaanbaatar starting from
Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. The heart of Ulaanbaatar, Chinggis Square, is just a short walk away. Here we will see the Parliament House, National Opera and City Hall. Afterwards, we will visit Zaisan Hill, which offers great views of the city. In the evening, you will attend a performance of traditional dancing and khoomii (Mongolian throat singing). Overnight in hotel. (L,D)
Day 2. Khovd province
Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Khovd province. Reach the camp and stay overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 3. Black Water Lake & Tsenkher cave
After breakfast, drive 100 km to Tsenkher cave, called as rock Gallery. Visit beauty scene of interesting cave and explore its famous 15,000 years old rock paintings. On the way visit to ethnic family for introduces their traditions and culture. Here you would discover the Khoomii throat singing, one of the most enigmatic arts in Mongolia. It is highly valued throughout country. One of the unique art of throat singing is praise songs and its sacred music. Also, you will see Black Water Lake that lies at an altitude of 1157 m and length of 72 km. This is a fresh water lake and has a low mineral content. Back to the camp. Stay overnight in ger camp. Day 4. Bayan-Olgii province
Travel to Ulgii town, capital of Bayan-Ulgii province, only Muslim province in Mongolia. It is a remote and unique geographical area with a population of Kazakh nomadic people equally as interesting and diverse as the land they inhabit. On the way you can see Tolbo Lake and Tsambararav Mountain, large mountain with eternal snow on the border of Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii provinces. Stay overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)
Day 5. Hoton Lake
Travel to Hoton Lake and camp by the lake. There are two lakes in the area Hoton and Hurgan which are connected by a stream and fed by rivers and streams originated in Altai Mountains. The surrounding countryside has captivating scenery with snow peaked mountains and glaciers and white water rivers flowing down the mountains into the lakes. Green meadows littered wild flowers and forested hills surround the lakes. Both of these amazing lakes offer wonderful opportunity for fishing and hiking around the area. Stay overnight in tent. Day 6. Dayan Lake
Travel to Dayan lake which is located south of Hurgan lake. It is 18 km long and is fed by small springs and snow melt. You will have leisurely afternoon by the Dayan lake. Fishing is possible. Stay overnight in tent. (B, L, D)
Day 7. Ulgii town
Travel to Ulgii town and it will be quite a long driving day. Stay overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)
Day 8. Achit Lake
Travel to Achit lake. On the way we will visit to local Kazakh family. We will camp by the edge of Achit lake, 1,464 m above sea level. This is fresh water lake covers about 311 square km. You can enjoy fishing at this lake so advisable to bring your fishing gear. Stay overnight in tent. (B, L, D)
Day 9. Uvs province
Today we will drive into Uvs province. Our final destination for today is Uureg Lake. This lake is in a beautiful setting surrounded by small hills. It is a salt-water lake with crystal blue water, perfect for bird and nature lovers. We will make camp by the edge of lake for this evening. Hiking and fishing. Stay overnight in tent. (B, L, D)
Day 10. Huh Lake
Travel to Huh lake, a small salty lake surrounded by mountain. On the way, we will come across some ancient burial sites and stone monuments, which we will explore. These sites date back thousands of years to the time of the Turkish people. Then we will continue driving and camp by edge of Huh Lake. Visit nomadic family. These people are Mongolian nomadic people of the Dorvod minority group. They speak a slightly different dialect than the nomadic peoples of the east. A visit from a far is a rare treat fro them and they welcome guests warmly. Stay overnight in tent. (B, L, D)
Day 11-12. Turgen Mountain
Travel to Turgen Mountain, one of the highest peaks of Altai Mountain Range and is elevated at 4000 m. It is optional for you that you would like to do this trip by horse or vehicle. We will make our camp in the mountainous valleys near the foot of the mountain. Stay overnight in tent. (B, L, D)
Day 13. Ulaangom
Travel to Ulaangom, Uvs province center. Stay overnight at local hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 14. Ulaanbaatar
Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. The flight takes about 3 and half hours. Shopping for souvenirs and cashmere is optional. Farewell dinner. Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 15. Departure
After breakfast, transfer to departure (B)
