Mongolia is very rich in fauna. There are 138 species of mammals, 487 species of birds, 22 species of reptile, 75 species of fish and 6 species of amphibians.
Since October of 2013, the team has traveled 40 000 km around the country and filmed and took pictures of 58 mammals, 117 species of birds, 4 species of fish, 3 species of amphibians. With these images and videos, Khureelen team made 28 episodes of educational TV show series.
Mr. Ganbayar Urtnasan is one of the founders of “Khureelen” NGO. He graduated from the Mongolian Knowledge University with a bachelor’s degree in Photo Journalism. Since his graduation he has worked in many news, photo and publishing agencies including MONTSAME, the main news agency of the country, ADMON publishing, and Keen Image photo agence as a professional photographer. Since July of 2012, Mr. Ganbayar together with biologists and film makers, has made many trips to remote areas of Mongolia to take picture and videos of wild endangered animal species.
