The town is mainly known as the gateway to the South Gobi desert sites, but has little to offer to city life admirers. Just a small post office, two motels, a market (mainly selling meat), a restaurant with unpredictable schedule, and a small bank that conducts basic operations. With the capital, Dalanzadagad has air connection and during the summer, flights are pretty frequent.
