Brief Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival to Ulaanbaatar - Check in to Serviced Apartment.
Activities: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia and transfer to a centrally located apartment. After breakfast, your city tour will start with highlights of the city: the Gandan Temple - city's main Buddhist center, the central city square with a grand statue of Genghis Khan and the Zaisan Memorial, an elevated hill on the city's edge providing a panoramic view of UB. The Winter palace of Bogd Khan showcasing rare statues of Buddhist deities and items of personal use of this last theocratic ruler of Mongolia is also worth considering. Of course you will have chance to visit Mongolia’s finest cashmere shop - Gobi Cashmere Factory where you could also visit new Chingis Khan Wax Museum. (Hotel - BLD)
Day 2 Ulaanbaatar – Amarbayasgalant
Activities: After early breakfast, your trip will start to Selenge province. The star attraction of this region is the Amarbayasgalant Monastery, is considered the second most important and the most intact architectural complex in Mongolia. It is well worth visiting on the way to or from Khuvsgul Nuur. After lunch at Darkhan, you will reach and check-in to Amarbayasgalant Urguu Camp. Small tour within the monastery, which is dedicated to great Buddhist and sculptor Zanabazar. (Camp - BLD)
Day 3 Amarbayasgalant Monastery – Khuvsgul province
Activities: After breakfast at the camp, you will head to Khuvsgul province known as with magnificent natural surroundings. When you reach the Murun town you will able to visit the Deer Stone. The place is situated on southeastern sunny side of Rocky Mount Uushig – 20 km from Murun. This memorial contains the most clearly depicted deer stone in Mongolia, which are considered rare in the world. After lunch (box) at Deer Stone, you will straight head to Khuvsgul Lake, check-in to Ashihai Resort. (Resort - BLD)
Day 4 Explore Northern part of Mongolia –Visit the Tsaatans
Activities: Another day of driving finally brings us to the Khuvsgul Lake, the right place to enjoy the deserved rest after days of driving. The lake is very special to Mongolians. Fed by waters of an auspicious 99 rivers it gives source to only one river which eventually links it with its “older sister”, the lake Baikal in Russia. This day you will have the rare chance to meet with Tsaatans by boat. (Resort - BLD)
Day 5 Bike challenge at Khuvgul Lake
Activities: After breakfast, enjoy the bike ride to Khatgal village. You can find variety of local foods and souvenir shops at the village. This is also good place to meet with locals and the travellers like you. And the rest of the day you may just laze around by the vast blue expanse of the lake or you can pamper yourself by having massage and sauna service. (Resort - BLD)
Day 6 Experience Mongolian way of horse riding – Khuvsgul Lake
Activities: After breakfast, you will meet the local horsemen who will accompany you on the rest of the journey. After you mount your horse, your stirrups will be adjusted for your comfort and we will give you some instruction on riding do and don't on the trail for your safety. Horseback riding and fun are the main objectives on horse pack trips, are all inclusive with guides, all equipment along the trails with 2 hours. (Resort - BLD)
Day 7 Kayaking by the lake
Activities: Your last day at Khuvsgul Lake. Explore the purest lake by kayaking and enjoy the millions of stars in the evening sitting beside the bonfire.
Day 8 Khuvsgul to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur
Activities: Khorgo – Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur Natural Park includes two jewels of Mongolia: Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur and the extinct volcano Khorgo. You will reach at Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur in the evening. Dinner and stay at Maihan Tolgoi. (Camp - BLD)
Day 9 Tsenkher Hot Springs
Activities: We are going on a day trip to the dead volcano and Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. In this lake (also called the White lake) you can do some swimming and fishing. You will stay with Shiveet Mankhan Camp. ¬ (Camp - BLD)
Day 10 Tsenkher Hot Springs – Pamper yourself
Activities: Enjoy the remote, untouched beauty of the region and soak in the Tsenkher hot springs at Shiveet Mankhan Camp. (Camp - BLD)
Day 11 Tsenkher Hot Springs to Erdene Zuu Monastery
Activities: Today we drive to the ancient capital of Karakorum, built by the legendary Genghis Khan in the 13th century. In Karakorum we visit the first Buddhist center of Mongolia, the impressive Erdene Zuu Monastery. This is an immense walled compound which retains much of its former glory, and within it, we can inspect the three temples dedicated to the three stages of a Buddha's life: as a child, an adolescent and an adult. Day 12 Kharkhorin to Ongiin Khiid – Dundgobi province
Activities: This day we explore the ruins of the Ongiin Khiid. Ongiin khiid (also referred as Ongi Monastery ruins) is an active small monastery with a temple which was built on the ruins of a monastery complex that was formerly known as one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and founded in 1760. You will stay at Ongi Nuuts Camp, where you will learn to build a Mongolian ger and try Mongolian costumes. (Camp - BLD)
Day 13 Ongiin hiid to Bayanzag - Flaming Cliffs
Activities: After having breakfast this morning, we will drive to the Bayanzag which is an important fossil finds have been made. The area is the most famous place for finding the first discovery of dinosaur fossils. Stay at Gobi Bayanburd Camp. (Camp - BLD)
Day 14 Khongor sand dune
Activities: The Khongoriin Els is one of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia and they are up to 200m high, 12km wide and about 100km long. The largest dunes are at the northwest corner of the range. Enjoy your camel trip at Duut Mankhan. Stay at Gobi Erdene Camp. (Camp - BLD)
Day 15 Khongor sand dune – Yol valley
Activities: We will drive to Yoliin Am, which is a deep narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. There is a small natural museum at the entrance of the National park which exhibits a collection of dinosaur eggs, bones, stuffed birds and snow leopard. This place is also very rich by the rare plants. Stay with Gobi Mirage Camp (Camp - BLD)
Day 16 Yol valley to Tsagaan suvraga
Activities: After having breakfast at the camp we will drive to Tsagaan Suvarga /White Stupa/. In the afternoon, we will reach the Tsagaan Suvarga and explore to see white stupa and go for hiking around. Tsagaan Suvarga, an amazing series of cliffs, white and pink limestone rock formations taking the appearance of stalagmites up to 30 meters high. It is an excellent site for taking photography of the beautiful panoramic views. Stay overnight at Gobi Suvraga Camp (Camp - BLD),
Day 17 Tsagaan Suvraga to Baga Gazariin Chuluu
Activities: A picturesque Mountain Baga Gazriin Chuluu is one of the most attractive areas of the Gobi desert. The ruins of a small monastery are on the south east part of the mountain. The area has got many species of wild animals and birds, such as ibex, argali, vultures, hawks and eagles. At the ruins, there are some mineral water springs and trees a top the many beautiful rocky hills. You will stay in Baga Gazariin Chuluu Camp, once we get there, we will have free time to wander around the mountains and do some hiking. (Camp - BLD).
Day 18 Baga Gazariin Chuluu – Ulaanbaatar
Activities: You will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and after lunch you will have a free day to relax from your long trip. (Hotel - BLD)
Day 19 Ulaanbaatar – Tsonjin Boldog/ Chinggis Khaan Statue
Activities: After having breakfast in Ulaanbaatar, will head to Tsonjin Boldog which is about 50kms from Ulaanbaatar. This is the place where Chinggis Khaan had found a golden whip which explained on the legend. A 40m high statue of Chinggis Khaan built on horseback covered by stainless steel and surrounded by 36 columns. The visitors can walk to the head of the horse, once we get there, we will see a panoramic view of the surrounding area. After visiting and having lunch there, we will drive back to the city. This is your last day in Mongolia and you will have time to pack and leave. Before that, enjoy your farewell dinner in the restaurant. (Hotel - BLD)

Activities: Your driver will bring you to the airport.
