downtown Ulaanbaatar. After freshening up from your flight, we start our first day around Ulaanbaatar starting from Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. The heart of Ulaanbaatar, Chinggis Square, is just a short walk away. Here we will see the Parliament House, National Opera and City Hall. Afterwards, we will visit Zaisan Hill, which offers great views of the city. In the evening, you will attend a performance of traditional dancing and khoomii (Mongolian throat singing). Overnight in hotel. (L,D)

Day 2. Drive to Mongolia ger camp and prepare for horseback riding tour
Approximate distance covered and estimated travel time: 300 km, 5-6 hours
Drive to the camp at Elsen tasarkhai (280km west from Ulaanbaatar), a unique area of forest and sand dunes, and prepare for horseback riding tour. Overnight in a ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day 3-5. Horse riding tour to Karakorum
Horseback riding tour to Karakorum, the ancient capital (80km). Your guide, a local horseman, will accompany you, giving you the chance to discover the life and food of a nomadic family and horsemen during the tour. Overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

Day 6. Visit the ruins of Ancient capital and oldest monastery
Reach Karakorum, the former capital city of world's greatest land empire, established by Chinggis Khan. Here we will tour the oldest Buddhist Monastery Erdenezuu, religious complex spanning over 400 sq. meters surrounded by 108 stupas. It was first built on the ruins of Karakorum in 1586 by Abtai Sain Khan. The site has some of the best works of religious art and architecture in Mongolia. Visit Karakorum museum. Day 7-9. Horseback riding tour to Orkhon waterfall
Continue the horseback riding tour to Orkhon waterfall. At first the terrain will be wide open valleys then mountain fresh river before finally changing to a forested mountain and 20 meters wonderful waterfall. Overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

Day 10. Relax
Spend a day of leisure around the waterfall. You can just relax and discover its scenic beauty or take the exciting opportunity to swim, fish and hike. Overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

Day 11. See the Takhi, the Asian wild horse
Approximate distance covered and estimated travel time: 420 km, 7-8 hours
Drive to Hustai Nature Reserve to see the Przewalski wild horses, re-introduced back into the wild in their native homeland. Visit the local information center for learn about the history of the last pure wild horses and the history of the area. In the evening you have chance to go horse riding. Overnight in a ger camp. Day 12. Ulaanbaatar and city tour options

Drive to Ulaanbaatar. Shopping for souvenirs and cashmere is optional. Farewell dinner. Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)
