Mongolia is truly a paradise for bird watchers. Mongolia’s many lakes and rivers attract thousands of birds. Gun Galuut Nature Reserve is home to 9 species listed in the
World Red list of rare and endangered birds and one of the easiest places to see White-naped crane of which only 5000 remain in the world and black vulture, steppe eagle, and golden eagle. Khustai National Park is a unique place to watch birds especially bird of prey. There are 217 species of birds observed in the park. 24 of them are birds of prey such as eagle, vulture, hawk, falcon, amurian falcon, and Himalayan vulture in Khustai. Ugii Lake is a wonderful spot for watching migratory birds. There are 144 kinds of birds in Ugii lake. It is easy to spot Swan Goose, White Spoonbill and Dalmatian Pelican here.
